Collection rights
The materials are property of the Municipality of Rome, except for some collections belonging to other public institutions (e.g. Universities) and private owners which are housed in the Museum
Access rights
The collections are freely available for scientific research, under the regulations set up by the managerial staff
Usage restrictions
Destructive or invasive assays are normally prohibited or must be previously agreed with the managerial staff. Uses other than for scientific research (e.g. extensive taking of pictures for commercial use) are subject to written contracts
