Description for specialistsA collection of fishes, marine invertebrates and plants from the collection of the Ex-Laboratorio Centrale di Idrobiologia: they are about 2200 specimens (1200 fishes and 1000 marine invertebrate and plants). The collection is currently being revised, so the data are general. The collection consists primarily of specimens in liquid (formalin) and only a few dry specimens (e.g. sea stars). They are approximately 700 cans, of which 300 relate to marine invertebrates and plants and 500 relate to fishes. They are dating from late XIX century till the 90s and are from Italy (mainly), NW Africa, Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea
