Description for specialistsCollection of bones and remains of small mammals (Insectivora and Rodentia) in owl (Tyto alba) pellets. It's about 13000 specimens belonging to Longino Contoli, collected in Italy from the 70s to 90s of the XX century (precisely 1973-1993). It is one of the first collections specifically dedicated to relational systems trophic "mammals-predators" and based on bones found in discarded food ("flock" or "bolus" or "treatment", etc...) of birds of prey or other predatory mammals of small to medium-small size. They are exposed in 181 full boxes out of 528 total (347 are empty) and 121 boxes of mixed wads, still to sort and identifiy.
