Description | A collection of fossil shells |
Description for specialists | General collection of about 25000 fossil shells exposed in 52 drawers, collected in Italy in the first half of the twentieth century with some specimens from the 'Settepassi' collection. Unidentified material, sorted only to major groups, with specimens of the Late Miocene-Early Pliocene. The status of the conservation is problematic, either for physical curation or for potential information loss (for example unlabeled specimens in the general collection) |
