Description for specialistsA general collection of about 25000 parasites collected during the years 1947-1978 and during the years 1986-1993, mainly in Italy, with some specimens collected in Somalia and in Antarctica. The parasites are represented by Nematodes, Cestodes, Trematodes and Acantocephala mainly while guests are crustaceans, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, fishes, birds, molluscs. The collection consistis of specimens from the ex-Zoo of Rome and the University of Rome "La Sapienza". The collection is being revised, so the material is partly still to be sorted and identified. It consits of 18808 bottles (17297 tubes and 1511 flasks) in 498 cans arranged in two windows, 15 containers, 21 drawers and 630 slide mounts
