DescriptionBotanical collection of dried plant samples that characterize the flora of Riserva Naturale Monte Rufeno and, specifically, the path of Nature of Flower divided according to main types present in the protected environment. Samples preserved are widely diffused samples, and samples of particular interest for their rarity and beauty
Description for specialistsThe collection consists of 480 samples exiccata dried and stored at the Museo del Fiore and is composed of plants, grasses, shrubs and trees, collected from 1994 to date by undergraduates, interns and associates of the Museum or the Reserve.
Exiccata are divided into the herbarium specimens on display (292 samples), samples teaching (20) and inventoried samples stored in special bags in the closets of the Museum.
Samples were collected every complete vegetative part, identified, dried, prepared for the freezing cycle and completed with its identification tag that contains scientific and common names of plants, household and other information on the place and date of specimen collection

ProvenanceThe teaching collection on display was acquired by means of an agreement between the University of Tuscia, Museum Herbarium, and Riserva Naturale Monte Rufeno in the preparation of the Museo del Fiore (1994 - 1998), under the supervision of Prof. Anna Scoppola.
The subsequent implementation of the collection was carried out by the Museo del Fiore through voluntary partnerships with curators, scientists and collaboration (since 2004 to nowadays)
